I have been writing for many years. As a high school student I wrote several love poems for other fellows to deliver to their girl friends of the day. Not one was ever turned down. Many boys returned for my three poem limit. Some asked for a poem of sorrow due to a death or accident.

Name your preference blank verse or rhyme and a poem will be created just for you or your receiver. Below you will find some poems and snippits that I have written.

Upon the canvas of your mind I shall paint with picture words and a description of a scene/time/place the memory can embrace long after the event occurred.

Birthday Suit

When he was born all people said,
"Oh my don't he look cute!"
At twenty he's arrested,
If he shows his birthday suit. (c) by Glenn

Cannibal Joe and Snowshoe Fred

The lights were low when Cannibal Joe and the huskies mushed along.
There's Snowshoe Fred more alive than dead, a singing his off tune song.
The tale was that Joe ate his mate, while the dogs did howl and moan,
But Fred had said, "If I'm ever dead, you can use this corpse I own." (c) by Glenn

To Helen Honcoop

I will tell you of a story,
Like no other you have known.
Only you and I will share its
Very soft and tender tone,
Ever will you be my own?

You have but to careful peruse,
On the heading of each line,
Until will discover,
How much that I am all thine.
Here's my heart. Let yours entwine. (c) by Glenn
(hint read the first letter of each line)

When A Baby Dies

When a baby dies, what can one say?
That love and joy have gone away?
That an angel's gone back home to stay?
What can one say, when a baby dies?
(c) by Glenn

TESTIMONIALS

Glenn, I cannot thank you enough. I could not bring myself to accept the death of my baby daughter. The poem that you wrote for us, When a baby dies, brought me the tears I could not bring forth. It was as if a great large lead thing was taken from out of my stomach. You touched what seemed unreachable. Thank you Jim Lindsay.

Dear Glenn, You took an old Irish tune and put words to it that really amazed us. Our anniversary was really something special with your touch. We were so proud of the poem we have sent it to people in Australia, New Zealand and many other countrys. We never realized you had such a fine talent. It was truly appreciated on our 50th anniversary. Pat and Ernie.

Dear Glenn, The eulogy you created from the information I sent was read at my mums funeral. I never truly realized that words could be so powerful and touch so deep. I must confess that although I read and rehearsed it many times I found it very hard to keep the tremmor out of my voice. Many people asked who is this Glenn. I told them of your site and what a very special person you are. I feel that you knew my mom first hand. I cannot begin to thank you enough. The Edith Gilespie family.

Glenn, When my wife handed me the poem The outhouse story and other odours, I thought she was daft. At her insistance I read it. You put a twist to the story and made it quite humerous. The skunk did have better aim and at the time I could see nothing to laugh at. Just thought I would let you know it is framed and shown to all my work mates. Ted Baggely
