LOVE SONNET
Old love is new as each day dawns again,
At night it dies enclosed in arms of sleep,
While Cupid does his night time vigil keep.
On rising sun it sings the old refrain,
Of heart that soars above the earth - and pain.
The love that comes in steady step or leap,
While all the world does joy or heartache reap.
'Tis known by all, one must have sun and rain.
Love blossoms not without both hot and cold.
Love knows no age. It has no boundary.
Love can be true, sincere, or just a con.
With all its face there is one truth to hold,
From birth to death no one is ever free,
For man may die, but love lives steadfast on.

I CAME IN LATE LAST NIGHT
I came in late last night and you were fast asleep.
I thanked the Lord above that He the watch did keep,
When I came home last night, and you were fast asleep.
I gave my love a hug, and snuggled up so tight,
As love did fill the room, and gave a glow to night,
When I gave Love a hug, and snuggled up so tight.
One kiss I gave to you, as deep in sleep you lay,
To thank you for what made, a lovely day to-day.
When kiss I gave to you, as fast in sleep you lay.
Then in that sleep you stirred, you turned with arms embraced.
I felt so fully loved, as our two bodies faced,
When in that sleep you stirred, and with arms me embraced.
A cuddle every night, when once more the sun has set,
We lay and talk awhile, of love and how we met,
When cuddled every night, after the sun has set.

EVENTIDE
Beautiful summer sunset, the glowing end of day.
Softly drifting clouds that echo the suns last ray.
Cool and quiet the evening, as darkness tip toes in.
Stilling the birds and the noises, silencing a day of din.
Quietus the heavens above blending all things to black,
Save for the pinpoint stars spearing their brilliance back.
Landscape that melts as it mellows flows into nebulous shape,
As night quiets even the breeze smothering them with its cape.
Gentle the world slips to sleeping. Up reaching clouds fade away.
The eyelid of day now reposes. Lost is the suns golden ray.
This is found in chap 3. Enjoy and come back soon.
IF YOU DON'T MIND
I've told you that I love you,
In every sort of way.
I hold you in the evening.
Your hand's held every day.
I've kissed you oh so often,
I know where are your lips,
And as I walk behind you,
I gently touch your hips.
When working at the sink now,
I hug you from behind.
All this to say, "I love you!",
That is if you don't mind.
To be found in chap book four. Welcome to my site and come back soon. Nice to see you! As before enjoy. Glenn

WHEN DEATH HIM DOES SLAY
When time does surround me and I sit alone,
I think of the comfort and love of my own,
For no one had better, be poor or on throne,
In fact ot in fiction than what I have known.
Now each one does carry his own special cross.
The joy of the winning. The empty of loss.
Be he but a servant, or be he the boss,
'Tis not known his fate 'til the dice get a toss.
And now he must play what e'er fate has in store,
Be joy of the living or sadness encore.
One look then to see what great mantle he wore.
He beaches his craft on life ending shore.
Once written in stone as life passes away,
The sorrowed sweet sadness he knew in his day.
The smiles of the living on faces did play,
Are lost to the world, when death did him slay!
By Glenn from chap book 5.
MYSTERY
I wandered all alone along a lonely road,
I saw a cottage bare, amoung the trees hid there,
While on its shoulder bore of time, a heavy load.
I opened up its creaking door to see the dust of time on floor.
The silence pressed both far and wide -
I dare not speak but stole inside.
